We collaborated with VCCP and redefined the iconic Android Bugdroid for Google. The open-source logo was created over 15 years ago by Irina Blok. Although instantly recognisable, the mascot needed simplifying for future use, without any rules or restrictions to allow its expressive developer community to dress Bugdroid however they wish.

The grass and daisy Bugdroid was a particular favourite. CES California and Barcelona built a physical 12ft model and placed it at the entrance of the venues for the obligatory selfies.

We modelled and rendered approximately 20 different versions of the Bugdroid. We create everything from denim, Doc Marten a mad hairy version, a Pride version and many more fun executions to display the diverse cultural nature of Google users.
