Periodically we produce projects for brands we admire as part of studio R&D. This time we chose The Ordinary. A skincare brand with minimal label design. We changed up the bottle design with subtle gradients and produced a motion piece with soft anglelic lighting and fluid animation.

Lighting

Lighting

The purposeful, almost angelic lighting is a large part of the beauty of this project. Special attention was given to lighting the wall behind the product. The soft halo enables the product to be lifted from its background. We used a single light with a gradient of the colours used on the bottles pointed at the rendered wall.
